Taihu National Tourist Attraction   Key National Cultural Relics Protection Unit  4A Scenic Spot

Located at the southern foothills of Hongshan Mountain, the Taibo Scenic Area covers an area of 33,000 sq m and features Taibo Tomb and Wu Culture Square. It is a key scenic spot of the Taihu National Tourist Attraction. Taibo Tomb is said to have been built in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD25-220). Every Qingming Festival, domestic and overseas relatives of the Wu clan will gather in Hongshan to worship Taibo. More than 3,200 years ago, Taibo, the first son of King Tai of the Zhou Dynasty (1046 BC – 256 BC), brought the culture and agriculture of the central plains to the area, leading to the development of Wu Culture. Confucius said that Taibo was a model of ethics.
